Starting as a Student

Let Us Help You Reach Your Literacy Goals!
To become a new student with Literacy for Life, please follow these steps:

Make an appointment with staff.
Call (757) 766-5207 or email ftfalcon@wm.edu.

Take an assessment (test of what you know and what you need).

Attend regularly, for meeting with your tutor and/or going to classes.

Qualifications To Be a Student
To start with Literacy for Life, you must meet the following conditions:

Live or work on the Peninsula.
-
Attend at least 1½ hours every week
-
Attend at least 60 hours of instruction in a year
(online classes, computer programs and/or one-on-one tutoring)
